Global Distress, Low Vibration, & What To Do!

Low Vibration = Low Resilience!

Ok, so this week's post is all about being real, raw, and authentic with you with the intention of normalizing the human condition, nurturing relatability, helping to heal the divide in humanity, and paving the way for others to find the courage to do the same.

And to do this, I've chosen the topic of vibration to communicate my message.

This said, regardless of what one's position is on the current global pandemic issues, which is not the focus of this post, I presume we can all agree that psychological distress levels are at an all-time high and climbing for all of us – likely even the most "zen" mind-body masters of the world.

For those that are highly empathic and sensitive to the energies around them, like me, this level of distress can often become insurmountable, knock us down, and diminish our resilience – this is especially true for those that have dealt with a significant amount of previous trauma.

To be candid, even with all the extensive knowledge and strategies I have for navigating distressful times, I'm currently struggling big time with the world divide around the vaccine controversy that continues to unfold on top of other life situations that piggyback on it.

I'm having to "dig deep" into my toolbox of nervous system regulators each day to help me stay grounded and show up as the best version of myself. Some days I do pretty well staying in my prefrontal cortex and true to my values, and others, my limbic brain takes command and spirals me into fear-based thinking.

To give you some context, here's a bird's eye view of the distress I'm currently navigating:

  • Toggling between feeling like a contrarian, rebellious outcast for my choice not to get the jab, because I don't feel safe with it and strongly feel that nobody should be coerced into any medical application and thinking, "Man o man! Am I a crazy anti-vaxxer, conspiracy theorist that isn't doing their part to protect mankind that so many others have labeled me to be?" one minute and then the next minute I find my power again, asking myself, "Oh my God!, how do so many people NOT see the incredible injustices unfolding around us and why aren't more people standing up against this corrupt AF narrative!?"

  • The pain-staking decision to cut off all contact with my large, Catholic-raised family of origin, of which I'm the youngest. I did this due to the hardcore realization that I was made the family scapegoat decades ago, yet I denied it and continued going above and beyond to "win" their love, acceptance, and approval to only be met with shame, blame, and gaslighting.

This reality was brought front and center in a brutal way when my family learned of my views of Pro Medical Freedom of Choice. Though no part of me genuinely desired to go no contact, I reached a point where I had to do it out of necessity to preserve my psychological safety and wellbeing. It became apparent to me that the only relationship I can have with them is a dysfunctional one.

There are no words to adequately express the level of anguish I'm currently experiencing over this.

I've always been highly family-orientated, and never in a million years did I ever fathom this to happen. In light of this, I'm currently a revolving door of horrendously painful emotional states such as confusion, self-doubt, anger, resentment, sadness, grief, shame,  and many others. I've had days amidst all this where the depression and anxiety were so paralyzing that the task of getting out of bed was a monumental effort.

Family scapegoating abuse trauma is more common than most people know, and the more I learn about it, the more I realize a dire need to play a role in raising awareness around it. Stay tuned as I begin creating content around this critical topic soon.

  • The possibility that my husband's career may be cut short due to his desire not to get the jab and therefore significantly compromising his retirement that he's worked his butt off to build.

  • I don't feel a strong sense of safety in the world amidst the current climate. I feel so much fear, anger, and rage coming from the collective consciousness that's often difficult to deflect. I also find myself thinking, "I need to be doing more to help protect human rights," but then also feeling super powerless against the power of Big Pharma and Big Tech and the level of gaslighting, brainwashing, and censorship occurring – and that so many seem oblivious to it.

  • Helping numerous 1-1 clients navigate similar distressing issues, which I'm passionate about doing but can be highly draining work at times.

And now that I've shared this, I wonder if you can relate?  I guess that many, if not all, can – particularly those questioning the current pro-mandate narrative.

If this is the case, I'm sorry this is happening, and I hope you find solace in knowing that you're not alone in your struggles. I'm with you, and I'm feeling you -- albeit energetically. If you were here in person with me, I'd offer you a big hug, a shoulder to cry on, and a non-judgemental listening ear.

So, how does all this tie into vibration, and what can be done about it?

Vibration_AdobeStock_124240555.jpeg

Continual psychological distress, whatever the source, significantly lowers our vibrational resonance, our energetic biofield, so to speak, and makes us vulnerable to absorbing the trauma around us and acquiring long-term psycho-emotional wounds.

When this happens, if this trajectory is not shifted, it creates interference at both an energetic and cellular level. At this juncture, it's only a matter of time before the interference manifests as psychological and/or physiological dysfunction – which, over time will evolve into symptoms, illness, and dis-ease.

Moreover, each of our vibrations (biofields) creates a resonance that extends outside of us and merges with everyone else's biofields and all things in the Universe to form the collective consciousness.

And now we have a bidirectional relationship happening, where our energetic signature influences the collective consciousness, and that of the collective consciousness influences us.

For this relationship to be symbiotic, in other words, mutually beneficial, vibrational resonance needs to be high as to create health and wellbeing in the field.

So, in light of this, how can each of us "do our part" to best support and protect the wellbeing of humanity? Some might say, "quit being a drama queen and get the jab!" I wholeheartedly disagree with this on multiple levels.

I strongly feel that the best and most responsible thing we can do to "do our part" is to make it a conscious daily effort to raise the shit out of our vibration, which will help raise that of the collective consciousness and thus support the wellbeing of humankind.

And to do this, we first need to know some hallmark warning signs that our vibration is plummeting. Here's my top ten:

  • Highly reactive and many times dis-proportionately so

  • Easily mentally and/or physically fatigued

  • Easily overwhelmed

  • Withdrawn and prone to low or anxious moods

  • Lack of creativity

  • Cluttered of foggy thinking

  • Poor sleep quality

  • On-edge, inability to relax

  • Lack of motivation, "what's the point?"

  • Chaos and stress magnet

Raising Our Vibration!

Ok, so what can one do to "raise the shit out of their vibration" each day to do their part in supporting the wellbeing of the collective consciousness?

Here are some quick and straightforward manageable action steps to consider:

  • 5-finger gratitude and success practice! Each day, using five fingers on one hand, acknowledge five things you're grateful for (no matter how small), and on the other hand, acknowledge five successes, no matter how small.

  • Become a non-judgmental observer of yourself. Make a point to check in with yourself regularly to notice when you're going into a state of hyperarousal. When you catch yourself doing this, take measures to "calm the mechanism" versus allowing yourself to engage reactively. This could be as simple as taking ten deep breaths or choosing to scroll by a social media post that triggers you versus engaging or allowing it to derail you.

  • Ask constructive "self-focused" questions versus "other-focused questions." For example, instead of asking, "Why can't he/she see my point of view?" ask, "What unhealed wound in me is being triggered and needing agreement and validation from this person? How can I best help myself detach with love from this expectation?"

  • Remind yourself daily that how others behave towards you is their karma, and how you choose to respond is yours.

  • Avoid futile arguments and trying to persuade and convince others who are committed to not truly listening or caring  – this is a massive drain of one's vital reserves

  • Make a point to do something kind for both yourself and others, no matter how small, each day

  • Embrace and embody the formula, which I learned as part of the Jack Canfield Train the Trainer Program, E + R= O.  In this formula, E = Event, R = Response, and O = Outcome. In other words, we have limited to no control over the events in our lives. The only thing we have complete control over is how we choose to respond to those events, and our response determines the outcomes we experience.

  • Do regular breath and body check-ins throughout the day. Strive to hold your body in a relaxed posture more often than not and breathe through your nose versus your mouth and slowly and deeply into your diaphragm versus shallowly and rapidly into your chest.  You can view a GREAT short video to refer to for this and some additional tips HERE.

  • Make a point to crank up your favorite tunes and dance freely as often as possible – preferably daily

  • Prioritize radical self-care in the areas of nutrition, hydration, rest, daily movement, stress reduction, sunlight exposure, and recharge rituals

  • Embrace and embody the concept of "one day or even one hour or a minute at a time!" Take life as it comes and focus on the step you're standing on versus trying to see up the entire staircase. Practice the art of patience, acceptance, and allowance for life to unfold versus trying to force things to happen.

  • Avoid complaining, circle-talk, and gossiping at all costs. Instead, engage in constructive venting, solution-focused discussions, and taking action to change what you don't like, no matter how small.

  • Set healthy boundaries and time limits for yourself around social media use and tech in general

  • Avoid watching the news, which I've renamed "the daily horror and brainwashing report"

  • Implement a daily journaling practice that supports self-reflection. If you'd like a copy of the daily prompts I'm currently using, send me an email to jen@wellnesscodeacademy.com, and I'm happy to send it to you.

  • Connect with your higher power each day. For you, this might be God, Source, Spirit, the Universe, or something else. My current daily prayer is as follows:

"Dear God, I ask for your guidance in helping me to show up today as the best, most regulated version of myself and create abundance in my life. Please forgive me for all my wrongdoings to others and help me forgive the wrongdoings done to me. Please lay your healing hands on the planet and humanity and help us create a global community based on truth, mutual respect, and love. Amen.”

  • No matter what, always choose kindness -- but also take no shit!

And, that’s a wrap!

I'm confident that if you commit to implementing as many of these strategies as feasible with consistency, your vibration will rise, you'll experience noticeable improvements in all aspects of your life, and you'll be "doing your part" to support humankind.

And, FYI…I go deep into vibration and tapping into the power of the subconscious mind within the Wellness Code Health & Life Optimization Coach Certification Program. You can learn more by clicking on “curriculum” or “training” in the top navigation bar.

Cheers to your resilience and success!
